60 reviews for TP-Link Deco X60(1-Pack) AX3000

  1. KalyanKalyan

    Future proof and scalable

Got this as an upgrade to my old single band router and now I’m getting full speed, coverage is good and one unit is enough for 1500 sft apartment, main reason for getting this is future proof wifi 6 technology and ability to add more decos in case we need more coverage in all corners in the house, installation is simple and straight forward, just download the app and follow the instructions. Router does get slightly warm during usage so keeping it well ventilated will help. Overall satisfied with it for now, will update if any issues arises.

    No wifi dead zone anymore.

Very easy set-up. Downloaded the Deco app and thing started working within 5 mins.I now have close to 200 Mbps which matches my broadband speed in all my rooms.Has wifi 6 which is a plus. The only thing missing is a way to schedule automatic restart of the mesh routers however this is just a matter of preference and not a deal breaker. You do have the option to restart the routers from app.

    Almost perfect …

Disappointed that I can’t schedule auto shutoff of the Wi-Fi radio during night.

  4. Badrinath

    Futureproof your home

The connection is excellent and drops are not observed. Works great for a duplex home. Pricey for the mesh feature though.

  5. SwatKat

Easy to use, and awesome experience

I have several of thes across the whole house. I have one wifi network so don’t have a disconnect / reconnect since it happens automatically which is so nice. The signal is fast! It’s easy to manage and change passwords etc. Looks good.Cons:Would have been nice if it had some USB ports to share external drives etc…. But otherwise it’s great.

  6. Vikram M Gadagkar

    Best mesh router!

If you have 1Gig + ISP provider and if you want tap that speed on you Wi-Fi network at your home, then this is the one to buy.I am getting 350Mbps + speed at home with this router.Easy to install.

  7. BGBG

    Useless compared to other routers

This Deco x60 has many limitations compared to other routers. In deco x60, we cannot set different SSID for different band. Same ssid will be set for both 2.4 and 5 ghz. Web UI interface is not good and only few option available to configure. No Route configuration under LAN possible to block google dns . Atleast TP-LINK should have provided the web UI similar to other routers which it sells in the market. Homeshirld Security is paid one and free one is of no use. Range is also not that great what reviewers claim. My asus xd4 has better range and better security which is free for life. Even Bridge mode not supported so that atleast we can use it to connect to our main router wirelessly and provide lan support to ethernet devices. Access point mode expect wired connection from main router to it and wirelessly connecting to main router not supported.

Extremely reliable and super fast WiFi speeds of

The media could not be loaded.

The Deco X60 mesh system by TP-link is a great investment for people who want reliable connectivity in large homes with thick walls. I looked at various other WiFi-6 mesh systems such as the Google Nest WiFi and the Netgear Orbi Wifi-6, but none of them match the value proposition provided by TP-link. I live in a 3 story house with thick walls that prevent WiFi routers from delivering consistent connectivity and speeds at different spots. The Deco X60 completely annihilates the issue. My service provider is ACT internet and i pay for 200mbps speeds. So far I am very impressed with the consistency of the Deco X60. If you have WiFi-6 enabled devices, it works even better.Pro tip: Use a Cat6/Cat7 ethernet cable to link the Deco’s with each other for the best speeds and reliability.

    Excellent Buy

WiFi strength, internet speed and range are very good as Deco X20 is WiFi 6 router. I have gone for wired backhaul with Cat 6 flat ethernet cable. WiFi coverage / range is much better than WiFi 5 Orbi RBK50. I paid full price and after two days there was huge discount. I have used jugaad to keep Deco X20 cool with better air circulation at additional investment as Deco X20 becomes quit heated which results in fall in internet speed significantly. In my view it is good buy given price to performance ratio, latest wifi 6 and free home care protection built-in. The only con is heating.

Easy to install and good coverage

For my 100mbps connection, after 2 decos I could get 100mbps on the second floor also. It was pretty easy to set up also.

    Blazing fast wi-fi speed

Was looking for a good router that can provide stable Wi-fi coverage in my apartment and I am so glad I chose this.Design – Love it! unlike traditional routers, the modern sleek design gels extremely well with any room decor and looks super cool.Installation – It was super easy to set up and took less than few minutes. All it took was to install TP-Link Deco app and provide a network name and password and it was up and running. Had no issues connecting any devices so far.Coverage and Speed – Deco X-20 comes with advertised range of 2200 sq. ft. Since ours is a ~1300 sq. ft apartment, bought only 1 unit to be used as a standalone router. The unit placed at the living room (central point of the apartment), provides a solid 160~240 Mbps speed (Airtel Xtreme Fiber – 200 Mbps) from furthest to nearest points respectively. For reference, ISP provided router never managed to provide speed > 30 Mbps at the furthest point. :DFor bigger houses, more than one unit might be needed but suggestion will be to buy less units first and add more units if needed. A higher range Deco model might also be a good idea.Overall, very pleasantly surprised and could not recommend this more.

Good mesh router with better signal and coverage Deco X60

I tried reading a lot about this router before purchasing it. To my surprise there weren’t enough proper reviews about it. There were some reviews but nothing very specific about features, compatibility and speed. I bought the router 3 days back and found it pretty good.Overall: I would surely suggest this mesh router Deco X60 to anyone. The performance is pretty good and upto the mark in comparison with my previous router ASUS RT AC87U. The only reason I wanted to move was because of lack of coverage of my ASUS router and wifi 6 as some of my devices support Wifi 6.Installation: Installation is pretty smooth and hassle free. I think it took me around less than minutes to set this up and make it up and running. One of my major concerns before buying was the PPOE support for ACT broadband. But it easily supports PPOE, when you insert direct LAN cable, start and connect using a mobile app, it automatically recognizes PPOE and takes you to the ACT signing page. Later once more it asks you to enter your ACT ID and password and then it’s done. I would suggest installing the primary router and then adding a satellite after that. It will recognize the satellite within one minute of addition. When you install for the first time, it will ask you for updating the firmware, which you should definitely do.Performance: I have a speed of 250Mbps from ACT and I am getting around 238 Mbps over Wifi when I am in the same room of the primary server and around 248 Mbps when I am connected via LAN cable. This is pretty good performance in terms of routers. Also, I am seeing download speed around 245 Mbps which is quite good.My 4K TV is connected with a satellite in another room and I am easily able to see 4K movies and stream full quality movies over Plex without compromising any quality. This is pretty awesome. My previous router range was never allowing me to do that. Haven’t seen any signal drops and any issues.Browsing is pretty good. Sometimes DNS settings of the ISP aren’t very good. Try changing to google or cloudflare, you will surely see increase in performance and increase in browsing speed as well. At any given time there are around 14 devices which are online in my house and each one of them demands speed and performance. I have not seen any issues till now.Features:This mesh router can work as access point mode or router mode. I think this should work with pretty much any ISP directly. Not sure about Airtel, though. Parental controls, Antivirus and Malicious content filters are there but I haven’t got a chance to do any real test on them.QOS mode is there which you can customise. But I think it could have been a little better, there are only three options for setting up priority, i.e low, normal and high. I would have preferred more control on this. Otherwise, you can choose predefined modes like streaming, browsing, gaming, etc.You can set up a guest network, Do speed tests from the app itself, blacklist any specific device from accessing the internet, get monthly reports about usage, set WPS and share wifi and create guest networks.Advanced settings allow you to tweak something like changing subnet, DHCP server, allocate IP addresses, static IP address allocation, port forwarding and some other features. One of the good things is that you can easily see how many devices are connected with which router either master or satellite. You will also get notifications if someone joins the network.Since I dont’ have provision but it this router will give even more performance if you connect both master and POD with LAN cable making a backhaul quite stable. I think you should get even better performance.Drawbacks:Since I have been using multiple ASUS advance routers before, people who are using ASUS RT AC87U will know that. This mesh router will give all you need to require to quickly use fast and reliable internet. Though if you are an enthusiast, you cannot do much in it. Down the link I would make my ASUS router primary and connect this as an access point so that I can use functionality of both together making them more powerful.Overall its a good router and I would surely suggest Deco X60 anyone to buy it if they are looking for better coverage, speed and stability.

    Better range and good product

Some heating issues are there but overall the product is good.

  14. Aarjav

    Perfect for home usage

Since I have a 1GBPS internet connection at home, WIFI speeds really matter to me. For me anything below 300mbps on WIFI is waste of my internet plan.I used to have two D-Link 825’s setup in extreme ends of the house connected via lan cable to give a full 100% WIFI coverage. But that too maxed out around 350-380MBPS.In November when WIFI 6 routers started pouring in I bought the cheapest one, which was TP-LINK Archer AX10 (AX1500). I replaced my primary D-Link 825 router. I saw great improvement in signal strength and WIFIspeeds. On 2.4ghz channel I was maxing out around 100mbps (same as D-Link 825), on 5ghz (WIFI 5) channel i was able to max out around 500mbps in a range of 10feet (which is roughly 30% more than D-Link 825’s output) and on 5ghz WIFI 6 channel I was able to max out around 600-650mbps. This was the maximum WIFI speed I’ve had. And the reason I was still using one of the old D-Link router was not many high usage devices were in that particular room.About a week or two ago (roughly around 10th May 2021) my D-Link 825 started malfunctioning and the range of signal strength and WIFI speed dropped drastically. Even if I was in close proximity of the router (2feet) i was getting just 50% of WIFI signal and barely speeds of 100mbps.That is when I decided to go for a mesh router. (even though TP-LINK Archer AX10 (AX1500) supports ONEMESH technology, its not as fast as standard mesh router.I was confused between Deco M9 plus and X20. Even though Deco M9 Plus has a better range and performs better at a distance when compared to Deco X 20, I still went for Deco X20 3 piece configuration as this is a WIFI 6 compatible router. The setting up of Deco X20 was really easy. It barely took me 5 minutes to setup the two nodes. I did not need to install the third node as of now as the 2 nodes have been more than sufficient in providing a great signal throughout my house.Because I had a lan cable going in the other room, I connected the node 2 with ethernet which supports ethernet backhaul which is basically WIFI mesh through lan. What this does is creates the 2nd or 3rd node’s wifi much stronger giving off better WIFI speeds. Now coming to the speeds, In close proximity (2 feet) I was able to achieve 750mbps of upload and download which is extremely good. For me its been a massive jump. As soon as the distance was increased to 10-20 feet, the speed were around 500-600mbps which was still great. And if it was increased to 30 feet or 2/3 walls apart it dropped to 200mbps which is still very good considering the amount of distance. The application for deco X20 is very user friendly and is very well made.Only if you are looking for wifi speeds above 500mbps (which means your broadband speed should be more than this), go for Deco X 20.If you do not have a plan of 500mbps above or do not intend to upgrade either or if you want a much stronger WIFI signal,, do go for Deco M9 Plus. It does not support WIFI 6, but can still give you WIFI speeds of up to 550mbps in close proximity. It also outperforms Deco X20 in terms of range and speed at distance of 30 feet.

    Too good

Just too good. Looks fantastic in the house. Goes with the decor. Read the instructions carefully and setup n it ready. Wifi reaches the full house without any problem.

Must have for a duplex house setup.

Using since 1.5 years in a duplex house. 3 Decos are spread across 2 floors and connectivity is fantastic all across. On an average we’d have 7-8 smart phones, 2-3 laptops , 1-2 streaming devices.Due to poor cell phone network, we rely on internet (VOLTE) for calls and Decos help in ensuring coverage across all corners.Managing the Decos through their App is hazzle-free. Provides regular reports on the threats neutralised. We could add multiple people as managers for managing the Decos. Network optimisation option helps decongest the band regularly. No cons, till date. If you have a duplex setup and this falls in your budget, just GO FOR IT.

  17. Mrinal BMrinal B

Great to use, easy to recommend

Dislike – One part of Setup process/instructions can be improved when adding satellite decos. You setup all satellite decos near the main deco instead of finding the most optimal distance and then setting it up. Saves the hassle of finding appropriate signal. There are so many positives/likes — Unified access point name- Good coverage of upto 2000 sqft on single floor with one Deco unit- Pickup of Access Point from devices depends on client’s implementation of roaming protocol (802.11r). Check OEM page is this is crucial to your daily workflow. Workaround for devices without roaming protocol: Turn Wifi off and on to pick nearby access point.- Main deco will see speeds as advertised by ISP. Satellite decos will see speeds reduced depending on the kind of mesh setup. Wireless setup varies with distance. If you have ethernet wiring hooked into your house, do use it to achieve lesser interference with walls. With 3 decos installed, I see speeds of upto 120 Mbps and complexity of wiring done in your house.- Dual-band useful if you wish to run connected devices on one band and daily consumption on the other (plus future proof your wireless speeds by 4-6 times than your ISP plan allowing you to make choices on whether to upgrade ISP plans or not)- This will always be useful as your can swap out your main deco with better specifications

Notification if any new or unknown device gets connected for first time helps in network safety check. If you monitor usage you must enable QOS. Drawback of QOS is max 1000Mbps limit will get applied. This limit might not effect your phone internet speeds but will see it if you use like multiple wifi camera, 4k TV, laptop all at once. Then you must disable QOS to get full speed back.

    Mesh Technology

HiAlways had a problem of getting strong enough WiFi in the room For streaming. Mesh technology solved the problem and plus you have one WiFi name so the all the connections move seamlessly across the house . Unfortunately yesterday one of the mesh devices developed an issue and is off the network .Have raised an issue with Tp link . Awaiting response.Very difficult to get response from TP LINK . Still waiting for a resolution . One mesh unit is just lying useless.Hian update on the same. After following with tp link on email /phone and social media the entire router set has been replaced yesterday.

Go for WiFi 6 mesh routers to be future proof

I was originally using deco E 4 route and was fully satisfied However after upgrading broadband speed to 200 Mbps realised the limitations of E4.It can only provide speed upto 100 mbpsSo had to upgrade the mesh router. This time I decided to keep myself future ready.Opted for This router as it can support over 500 mbps on 2.4 GHz and over 1Gbps at 5.0 GHz and at same time can accommodate my existing E 4 deco routers in same mesh network .Performance wise it is good and a set of 2 is enough to cover 2500 sq feet of single storied house but you will need at least 3 for larger area.

Product promise not delivered, Range issues and Network Drop issues.

Hi Everyone,After some early research, I ordered Deco X20 (2-pack) which promises an overall range of 4000 Sq ft as per product description. I have some background in networking, routing and radio signals hence I ordered this two-pack product for my apartment which has a carpet area of 1800 Sq ft. Because these tests are done in US where walls of wood, unlike India where walls are of bricks there will be a massive difference in actual ranges delivered. I was aware of this hence for just an 1800 sq ft house I ordered a 2-pack 4000 Sq ft product especially for WiFi 6. But to my very sad surprise, it doesn’t even cover the same properly. You might get the range but there is a massive network drop. Let me summarise an example:If you are one room away from the device, it will switch your network band to 2.4 Ghz. This is generally done to get long range. I don’t see even WiFi 6 promises kicking in here, although most of my devices, my M1 mac, iPhone 12 and iPad are WiFi 6 enabled. Because of 2.4 GHz band, the range is longer but the speed is subdued and lower. But the main challenge is even with low speeds you don’t get consistency. I have a 300 Mbps internet connection at my home and both the devices are connected via ethernet backhaul which is far better than the normal WiFi connection two devices may make. Even then there is a performance lag.For a heavy network user, this turned out to be a major disappointment. They don’t accept returns but just exchanges which is a far more sad story here. I would not recommend this for any general user, because even after being a user who has some expertise in networking, with ethernet backhauls and internet uplink of 300 Mbps, a single floor apartment of 1800 Sq Ft. is still not covered with two devices. If the seller, amazon or someone from the company is reading this. You need to fix this soon, or else there is no point paying a premium to such routers which can’t get even the basics right.

    Best product

People are writing what all about this product. But this is one of the best products i have used. Before i never used mesh router. I have 2 flats side by side which is 3400 sq ft. Both flats have full wifi coverage.Go for this product. Very easy to install.

Must buy if you have a large home !!’

This 3 set x20 deco solves the dead zone problem as i have a house of 325sq yard and it solved my problem of dead zone as well as of speed dropping issue !!!

    Used with Hathaway fibre broadband

Needed a static IP to install with Hathaway.fiber broadband. Installed by Hathaway but took some effort. Even after installation I am unable to set up guest network.Product works fine with just, one router I am able to cover my entire flat of 2100 sq feet. Performance is simply great. Get a signal nearly 250 feet from my home from six floor to ground floor.

No reliable speed with Deco X20

Had to return the product as the speed keeps varying. No stable speed as in the case of Deco M5. Deco M5 has better performance and range compared to X20.Have Airtel 200Mbps connection, M5 provides constant speed and Deco X20 speed varies drastically in between 40Mbps to 200Mbps.

    X20, 3pack – full coverage across 3floors.

Package delivered on time. Now coming the X20, I have jio fiber 300mbps line on the ground floor and the wifi signals are weak on the first and barely-there on the second floor also 2.4ghz has a lot interference because everyone in our neighborhood is using 2.4ghz. Separately I have 25 plus devices connecting to the router, IoT devices ipcams phones laptops TV’s etc.I have been facing weak wifi and low speed throughput all the time. Finally got the X20, 3unit variant and installation took 15mins max. Using 5ghz for phones laptops and chromecast while 2.4 for IoT devices. Gigabit lan and wifi6 makes it future proof as well.Getting much better speeds than before, and all areas in my house now have wifi signal.Very satisfied with the purchase.

Simple and easy solution for wifi-deadzone problems.

Product is easy to use. Only one complain, no points to hang it on wall. Setup is a breeze. App gives all sorts of controls and features.Only thing you’ll need to do is create heat map of your place and find best location. If you have multi-storeyed location, it will take you about an hour to find right locations. Zig zag pattern works best in most cases.

Below average performance. Not worth the asking price

Deco X60Here are my thoughts after 6 months of using this mesh system:Pros:1. Minimal and clean design looks really good2. Setting up is a breeze with the deco app3. Reliable wifi for stationary devices ( tv, desktop pc, ip cams)Cons:1. Mesh performance is not satisfactory. When I move from one room to another, many a times I have to turn my wifi off and then on again so that it latches to the nearest node. At first I thought this is a mobile phone issue, but checked it with 5 diff phones, the problem persists. Defeats the sole purpose of buying such an expensive system2. If you connect the nodes wirelessly , the speed drop is significant. For optimum speed, you need to connect via an ethernet cable, which again is a hassle.3. Only 2 lan/ wan ports per unit. Now if you have a large no. of wifi devices at your place like me, you would want to connect some of them through wire for better and reliable connection (also it helps minimize some bit of interference). You need to buy a switch to extend the ports then, which creates a mess of wires around the place. Not like it at all4. The units have a circular ring like opening on top which I didn’t notice earlier. I understand it is for heat dissipation but it also means that dust (and dog hair if you have one at your place) gets into it which could be an issue.5. At approx 35K for a pack of 4, it’s really expensive and not good value for money.

Rock solid Wi-Fi with easy installation

I have an existing mesh router from another reputed brand and the setup caused me so many issues. The mesh network will often stop recognising the secondary node and I will have to try restarting the node while hoping it comes back online. It also struggled with walls which meant I had to place the node within 40 ft of main router. This Deco setup has eliminated all of these issues. Steady Wi-Fi with no node drops, far greater ability to manage walls, and really good coverage. I am covering a 3000+ sq ft (built up) penthouse with this 3 pack set. Speeds are consistently upwards of 180-190 mbps even at the periphery on a 300 mbps connection. The set up using their mobile app was not complicated and worked seamlessly as advertised. Overall, extremely good buy for me.

Heats up a lot with multiple devices

I had to return this because of the extreme heat and subsequent plastic burning smell when the cellular data transmission was high or several (more than 10 for me) connect to the router. I tested it SIM card mode though. There are no LED lights to check the signal strength, internet connection status which most cellular routers have. Without these, if something doesn’t work, you have to login to the device portal, navigate to the appropriate pageant check which is a pain esp. when the cellular signal is patchy in your area. No ethernet ports for laptops (but there is one for WAN support). Carrier aggregation is supported (tested with Airtel and Vi). My recommendation is to go with TP-Link MR600 if you need a 4G router but the CA support is limited to only a few bands because it is a slightly old model.

One of the best Mesh routers

Good range. I get my signal from ground floor although i stay on the 10 th . Covers 5000 sqft easily , no limit on the number of wifi devices. I can watch 4k videos without buffering.

  36. Anto Prakash Singh

Good coverage and Easy to connect

Should be able to connect with same WiFi every time, if there are more than one WiFi router in the same premises

  37. Akshay

    Just awesome

Setup took 5 mins so 5 star thereI stay in 2340sqft flat and 2 decos are sufficient to cover the area. The only problem is that the drop in speed I think is significant from one deco to another, however if you have a 100mbs+ connection the drop will not much affect for home use.So all in all good product for home use.

    Packet Loss

Absolutely Worst Product for Heavy use. Cannot even connect an Ethernet Cable and the wireless data connection is so poor that even if i am sitting in the room next to the router, there is an insane amount of packet loss while playing. Would recommend the Archer Series for the same purpose.

    Good range,Beautiful,Future proof….

Its just mixed with the interior of the house, gone those tacky spider legs antenna’s.Range is also good for my 1500 sp ft apartment, covers all conner, but place the router in center of the house,no need for extra router.Multiple streams for tv and phone without any buffering problems.Buy this beauty have the budget. It will not disappoint.

It does the job depending on your sqft

So i was reading a lot About extender, router etc. finally decided on deco X60. I couldn’t find a proper review when i was looking so i ll try to be as detailed as possible. I live in a 1800sqft n i bought only 1 unit as its expensive. My network plan is 300mbps of ACT.1. You can connect directly to the deco. The pin will be similar to the lan cable pin. So u don’t need a broadband provider router2. Ideally u need two units to cover a 1800 sqft place. However one unit ll also do. In a spot where i used to get 4-10 mbps, now i get 30-40mbps. Yes its still way far from strong spots were i get 300mbps but i really didnt want to invest another fortune here. Also, you can always add on to this unit.3. Setup process isn’t much of a deal. Mine was ppp03. After couple of resets it was sorted.4. Didn’t spend time on Antivirus5. I suggest first buy one unit and c if u need more.6. Makes ur life easier n don’t hv to bother about poor network

    Effectively covers large area.

Effectively covers large area. Has some issues connecting with some older equipment. I haven’t yet been able to connect my Brother printer to it. Also had some issue connecting Deebot vacuum robot, but managed to do it eventually. No issues connecting to mobiles or TV’s. It definitely provides seemless wifi coverage.

    DEC0 X-60 (AX-3000) Excellent coverage with strong Wi-Fi Signals

I have act fibernet 300MPBS plan and i am using Deco X-60. setup is very easy. Just need to install deco app and follow step by step procedure. and coming to the coverage, its excellent. now getting strong Wi-Fi signals in every corner of my house without loosing the speed. of course a bit expensive but its performance and coverage is excellent. able to connect all of my IOT devices and wi-fi based cc cameras without any worries. it automatically shifts between 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz bands. so I haven’t faced any issues to connect my IOT devices and cameras which works only on 2.4 ghz bandwidth. Overall if we won’t consider the price this mesh router is excellent.

WI-FI 6 Mesh network and easy setup

App based setup process was very simple. Adding extra node was easy enough process too. TP link have good app to manage network over internet from anywhere. Provide same good quality signal for entire two story house.

  45. Deeraj

    It does heats up.

Its a pretty good router with latest wifi 6. Features like qos, parental controls, antivirus are good to have. It does the purpose for you and it is heavily recommended for people who have lot of devices or smart home system. And it is future proof.Con:-it does heats up, makes me worry about its lifespan.-it’s integration with alexa is bullshit. No use at all. TP link skill should improve the voice commands. Atleast they should have given options toturn off or on via alexa or with the app (so forget about scheduling the router to turn off at night.)Tip: Place router is open place, provide options for heat dissipation.

Good router however do not recommend

Do not recommend:All those basic features which I get on my Linksys (old router) is a paid feature here.Time based restriction for kids (for e.g blocking internet for TV, iPad etc post 10pm is a paid feature & thats 4500 per year , that’s almost 60% of 1 router’s price. Not worth it. Look for other options if you’re like me. For others, it’s a good option

  47. Jahed Shaikh

Good but asking subscription for additional features

Some simple features should be free. Thinking like I just brought hardware not software 😂

    Future Proof Router

Lots of Mesh router available in the market, I choose router with wifi 6, range is good, everything done automatically from setup to using it. Every things done on Deco app. You can done every step on app. On computer there is very less settings available. Deco system is cloud based.Every device connected through deco network can be easily manage. From speed restriction to disable wifi can done on application. It supports automation. You can easily access to link smart devices like camera, plug and bulbs. Also official support of Philips Hue. No need to use kasa after this.It supports WPA3. But smart bulbs not supported.Every secondary deco can be connected through 2.4 and 5 GHz. But after connect the Ethernet cable it automatically switch on it. On Deco app you can easily see the connection type. Another important thing for downloading, it use all the available bandwidth to get maximum speed on wifi. Cost is much for some people. But on compare with other cost of product is less. To get maximum output use cable connection. Speed to cable connection is much higher. And use access point mode rather router mode. No heating issue. Colour may be improved, need for black one. No usb port. And only 2 ports. So switch need for more wired connection.

    it’s perfect, my recommendation !!

I have been using this single device for about a week now in a 2 floor 1000sft each floor. on the same floor 5g is rocking… consistent uninterrupted signal… 400Mbps speed.. on other floor 5g is obviously lowbut consistent 50Mbps on which G I don’t care. I still have an option to just add more of device to really create a home mesh wifi. and also works on pppoe, i removed the wifi router completely.. make sure u have. a good fibre connection and rest is also take care by deco(s)… enjoy !!

    Guess one node is enough

Bought two node mesh thinking I would need two for better coverage but as tested, one node is sufficient as it provides better coverage with more than 1/3rd of speed at the dead spots. With two node I get more than 3/4th speed at the dead spot. Two is good to have but one is sufficient if cost is constraint.

    Good for basic mesh setup

Like: Ethernet backhaul. The speeds through the router is similar to wired connections.Wi-Fi-6 capable products show amazing difference after connecting through this.Dislike: The app is glitchy. But, largely functional.Suggestion: Using a gbps ethernet switch for routing home ethernet through the primary satellite, let’s one have a common internet for the entire home.GBPS ethernet switches are available on Amazon for less than 1.5k

    Completely satisfied customer!

Bought tplink deco x20 – 2pack and I am truly happy with the product. The initial setup was very easy to install and quick. The wifi range of deco x20 is much more than other routers that I have used. Also accessing the router features via app makes it easy for me since I frequently keep monitoring and updating certain management controls.

Deco – easy setup but buggy firmware as like other models!!

Came from netgear orbi(one such failure model) though you may see lots of great reviews..deco x60 is really good in stable wifi and covering all areas of 2500 sqft house…but failed to provide high speed..using ji fiber 100mbps plan, but deco provides max 10mbps..tried all the options nothing fixed the issues..in tp-link forums, there are others complaining of speed issues as well due to buggy firmware. So returned the product. None of the mesh routers are giving stable wifi and speed. All looks good as a decorative item in your house!! Planning for low budget router with lan cable to extend the network!!

    Exceptional Performance

I have been a long time user of Airport Express in my house. For the last 2-3 years I had been facing issues in the performance of the Airport Express in terms of speed and connectivity. In search for a new router I came across this product and today after installing it I am very happy with the performance of the router. It has good deep coverage and works well with multiple devices at the go.

What a downgrade from my 2-pc orbi setup

Was of 24k… Ordered 3 pack to cover my 4000 sq.ft. apartment.. this barely covered 1200 sq.ft.. the item was non returnable so I decided to add 1 more satellite.. it now covers about 1800 sq.ft. at extremely slow and unreliable Wi-Fi speeds.. i though i was upgrading my mesh setup to wifi 6, instead, my 200mbps fibre connection has been downgraded to 30-60mbps by this router… Avoid at all costs.. can’t even return it… You’ll literally flush your money down the drain… Stick with Netgear… My 3 year old 2 setellite orbi setup was wayy wayy better than this.. total waste of time, money and effort… I should’ve know when they had a no return policy..

    Recommended for 2-3 storied house

First of all range is excellent. Installation is easy with using Deco Application. I’ve 3 storied house and from every where the signal is very good. Almost having 80-90 percent signal, even odd place. If you want to afford it, then go for it. Price is on higher side but if you can afford then you will be very satisfied.

    Highly recommended for large homes

I was using an array of JioFibre Wifi Router, one TPLink router and two TP Link range extenders, one Apple AirPort Extreme and one Apple Airport Express (Both hardwired) to create a wifi network for a 5BR home and there were still many deadzones. Ive now switched to using a pair of TP Link X60s and removed everything else and there is perfect coverage across the home with all devices (approx 20) getting a full signal and bandwidth. Highly recommended.

one of the best routers I have ever used.

I used 150 mbps broadband connecting and with my deco m4 i used to get speeds of 110 mbps while away from router. so I upgraded from m4 to X60 and i really felt the difference, the lowest I got on this router is 135mbps when wifi strength is about 50%.
